Maria has been member of the team involved in the implementation of the Circular Economy Action Plan for almost 3 years now. However, she started her career in Brussels just after finishing the Master of the College of Europe in European Political and Administrative Studies. She worked in the field of regional policy, focusing specifically on the interlinkages with in the policy areas such as A Digital Agenda for Europe, Economy and Finance as well as Circular Economy.
Her interest in the Circular Economy expanded once she joined DG Environment. There, Maria started discovering new best practices in the areas of sustainable consumption and production, disseminated among eco-innovative businesses and public authorities. Moreover, Maria is keen on learning more about new business models emerged in markets of secondary raw materials.
